Little Miss Trade Mark Infringement

The Walt Disney Co has been sued for trade mark infringement by THOIP, the owner of the “Little Miss” and “Mr. Men” marks.
The “Little Miss” merchandise range has gained attention recently after Britney Spears and Paris Hilton were photographed wearing the shirts, which are sold at Disneyland.

The designer formerly known as Joseph Abboud – how he lost his name

American fashion designer Joseph Abboud has been barred from using his own name in relation to his new menswear range.
Abboud sold his brandĀ forĀ $65.5 million in 2000. The sale include the Joseph Abboud trade mark and the rights to his name, and Abboud remained as a consultant.

Louis Vuitton loses case over Murakami knockoff

Louis Vuitton has just lost a 4 year court case against Dooney & Bourke, involving their It Bag (pictured), which LV alleged looked too much like their popular Murakami design.
